History and update details

Wed Sep 10, 2025 – Version 1.0 is live.
I have a liquid glass icon designed in Icon Composer and it’s ready to implement for when iOS 26 is released in 5 days. I also think I may include a Health.app medications list import. You may already have your medications in Health and may want to import them into HappyRx. I would need to erase it with a morning and evening designation based on some metadata -better than importing all into Morning and then having a user have to edit and reassign to Evening if that were the case. We’ll see.

Mon Sep 7, 2025 – Many updates
I found out that there was already a company online called RxList – and so I had to update my application to use a different name. Thus HappyRx. I hope this satisfies the reviewers. I also added the placeholder tap for Edit – Apple interpreted this as a bug. It wasn’t – it was an oversight – but I had previously caught that anyway. And it proves that someone really does go through the apps reviewing which I appreciate.

Today I will be submitting a new build for review: 1.0.1 (2). I’ve updated the screenshots to remove the RxList title and updated my localizable string tables. Just hoping to get it in the store soon so then when iOS 26 is released I can supply my new liquid glass icon which I think looks pretty nice.

Fri Sep 5, 2025 – Update.
While I wait for the initial review to take place I have made an update that allows one to tap the ContentUnavailableView when no medications yet exist as a shortcut to the EditMedicationsView tab. So you can start entering medications. It’s an oversight on my part as I have been working with placeholder data for so long I forgot about the initial user flow. So it’s 1.0.1 – whenever I am able to upload that build for review. Cheers!

Wed Sep 23, 2025 – Submission.
Initial submission to the App Store. Removed a few features in order to provide a more timely approval. May implement in-app purchase for optional one-time donations. Previously implemented my own ko-fi, which you can use here if you wish.
